1. What is the Whistleblower Protection Act?

The Whistleblower Protection Act is a legal regulation that ensures the protection of whistleblowers who report violations or illegal activities in companies or public institutions. It is intended to protect whistleblowers from possible reprisals if they expose ethically questionable or even illegal practices and thus fulfil their moral duty.

2. Who is considered a whistleblower?

Whistleblowers are persons who, in the context of their professional or personal environment, gain knowledge of misconduct, malpractice or violations and pass this information on to the relevant authorities, institutions and/or internal departments.

3. What types of violations can be reported?

The Whistleblower Protection Act covers a wide range of violations, including but not limited to:
