Creation of safety data sheets
We create safety data sheets for your chemical products for the EU area and support you in the adoption of exposure scenarios and the creation of extended safety data sheets in accordance with the REACH regulation. We use our in-house software for this. This allows you to access your documents at any time. The transfer of product data and documents to or from your IT system can be realised quickly thanks to innovative solutions. With our strong partnerships, we can also help you when your products leave the EU. Whatever questions you have about SDS - we have the solution!
Monitoring of substances and mixtures
On your behalf, we continuously check the ingredients of the products in our system with regard to various legal and/or industry-specific restriction and prohibition lists. Thanks to our systematic monitoring, we have all relevant legal regulations and - as soon as available – their amendments available and analyse all recorded products for corresponding legal changes. The safety data sheets are supplemented or updated where necessary.
Harmonised product notification
We automate the harmonised product notification (Poison Centre Notification, PCN) for your mixtures. Using our system-to-system solution integrated in the UHCS, we can carry out individual or even tens of thousands of product notifications and product notification updates in addition to your safety data sheets in a highly efficient manner and transmit the data directly to the ECHA. Even if you import hazardous mixtures into the EU legal area, you must make a harmonised product notification for each country. We are available as a third party for your non-EU supplier to carry out the notification – without compromising the formulation. We will be happy to provide you with technical and strategic advice to help you optimise your notification process.
Review of (supplier) SDSs and data management
Are your suppliers' safety data sheets correct? And how do the contents get into your system? We would be happy to validate your (supplier) safety data sheets, whether it's a pure document check, transfer of data or complete documents into our system, including the option of transferring data to your ERP system. We first check the specified content for plausibility and, in a second step, check it against our regulations. In the event of any deficiencies or gaps, you will be informed in a jointly defined procedure.
Digital solutions
With our digital solutions, you as a customer are optimally networked with us and your data. The UHCS, our own software solution, offers the option of exchanging data in any form with our customers' systems. At the same time, you as a customer have live access to your data at all times. If you wish to transfer selected product information and documents to your IT system, this can be quickly implemented using existing XML-based interface solutions. We serve all common merchandise management systems. In addition, the adapter solutions we have developed give you the option of freely configurable live access to all the information contained in your SDS. You can use our online calculation tool to conveniently check and optimise the classification and labelling of new formulations and changes to formulations.
SAP EHS: content maintenance, raw material maintenance and creation of safety data sheets
When introducing and/or using an SAP EHS system, we support you with our specialist expertise in chemicals legislation and operational environmental protection and occupational safety. We offer you the maintenance of content, raw materials and products in your SAP EHS and advise you on the purchase decision of the system. We take over the loading of purchased data for you via the Open Content Connector (OCC), enter and maintain your raw materials in the system with the required data for regulations (Europe only) and enter UN listed substances in the hazardous goods area into SAP EHS. 24-hour emergency number for safety data sheets
Safety data sheets must include an emergency number where medical information can be obtained in the respective national language in the event of an emergency. Which emergency number must be given, or whether there is a free choice, is determined nationally for each individual EU member state. UMCO works successfully for Germany with the Poison Information Centre in Göttingen (GIZ-Nord), for Austria with the Poison Information Centre (VIZ Österreich), for Poland with the POMORSKIE CENTRUM TOKSYKOLOGII (PCT Poland) and for the Czech Republic with the Toxicological Information Centre (TIC Czech Republic). You can obtain the emergency number from us and have it included in the SDSs we prepare.
